Baddha Konasana pose is called Cobbler’s pose. It is designed to open your hips. If you have sat in one place for too long this is a good pose to relieve tension.
The instructions for this pose are:
Sit with your legs straight in front of you.
- Now slowly bend your knees and pull your heels towards you.
- Drop the knees out to our sides and press your heels together.
- If you are very flexible your knees may touch the floor, if not don't worry this is normal and you should carry on practising!
- Place your hands on your feet.
- Lengthen your body and breathe deeply.
- When you have finished extend your self and shake them on the floor.
- Repeat the asana again.
