The Guruparampara is our guru’s family tree, and is our line of religious leaders, from Lord Swaminarayan right up until today (HDH Acharya Swamishree).
Why is a Guru so important?
Jeevanpran Swamibapa has said that without a Guru, you cannot get religious knowledge.
Lord Swaminarayan is the first in linage in our Guruparampara.

Why did Lord Swaminarayan decide to come to earth?
- To fulfill the wishes of his beloved devotees (Invite Lord Swaminarayan to your home – Padhramni or sing kirtans in his presence etc).
- To teach religion and true worship was in danger by evil.
- To establish and spread His supreme greatness and the highest knowledge of His devotion.
- To rescue all the previous incarnations and their devotees by letting them know of His supreme greatness.
- To establish the long forgotten principles of true religion by destroying evil and protecting the devotees who maintain the principles.
- To explain the true knowledge and devotion to his devotees and give them salvation by taking them to his Divine Kingdom – “Akshardhaam”
