Prathna means prayer or worship.

Prathna can be expressed out loud or in thought, alone or in a group. It typically consists of praise, thanksgiving, a request, or a confession.

A prathna can be said at anytime and at anyplace. You can say a prathna at the temple, at school or work, whilst working or doing your household chores.

When you say your prathna you can kneel in front of a murti, but you can also sit, walk, or lie down.

You can pray using song and dance as well as words. As long as you are honest and sincere, the Lord will be come close to you and listen to your prathna.
