Synopsis

The sublime philosophy and supremacy of Lord Shree Swaminarayan that is contained within the Vachanamrut and clarified in Shree Abji Bapashree ni Vato and other sacred texts, are retold in the form of spiritual poems by Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa in this scripture. Some of the devotional songs describe the divine Murti of Lord Shree Swaminarayan, and are recited whilst meditating on the Lord's Murti.

Kirtan

Nath o Mara Tamne Jamadi

Bhumanand Swami remained hungry for 3 days, after which he was given plain khichdi to offer to the Lord and then eat. At that time, Bhumanand Swami mentally transformed the khichdi into splendid items of food and offered this to the Lord. This was when he wrote the thal that is sung each day, 'Jamo Thal Jeevan Javu Vari'. Similarly, when Swamibapa arrived in Maninagardham, He had nothing to offer the Lord. A kerosine tin was cut and plain khichdi made in this as a cooking pot. When this khichdi was offered to Lord Shree Swaminarayan and Bapashree, Gurudev Swamibapa sang this thal kirtan, and offered lavish dishes to God.
