Sants and disciples from all over Gujarat gathered in Maninagardham, to celebrate the festive season of Diwali and the New Year in the divine presence of Acharya Swamiji Maharaj. The festival period commenced from the day of Rama Ekadashi, Thursday 9 November 2023. From this day, a magnificent rangoli was prepared in the grounds of Maninagar Mandir – the concept being Mera Desh Meri Mitti – my land, my soil – a tribute to our Motherland.

Diwali was celebrated on Sunday 12 November 2023. On Monday 13 November, the Sadguru Din Commemorations of dhyan, scriptural recitals, singing of devotional songs, etc. were held in the Brahm Mahol. In accordance with the traditions of Diwali, the entire Mandir had been decorated with lamps and intricate rangoli designs. The Chopda Poojan ceremony was also performed, during which businessmen brought their new year’s accounts books to be consecrated. A truly magnificent Annakut, an array of food dishes, was beautifully arranged before the supreme Lord presiding in Maninagar Mandir. Acharya Swamiji Maharaj performed aarti and offered the thaal to the supreme Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa. Having performed the Annakut aarti in Maninagar Mandir, Acharya Swamiji Maharaj travelled to perform darshan at Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Smruti Mandir. 

Tuesday 14 November 2023 marked the first day of Samvat 2080. Acharya Swamiji Maharaj bestowed New Year blessings to all the sants and disciples. This was broadcast live to disciples living all around the world.

The Diwali, Annakutotsav and New Year’s festivities were held in all the Mandirs of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan within India and around the world.
