As Acharya Swamiji Maharaj is currently presiding in the USA, He directed the sants to lead the celebrations on His behalf. After the shangar aarti of the Lord, the sants held a procession from the Mandir to Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Auditorium. The procession was led by Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band Maninagar. Gurudev Swamibapa was carried on a palkhi into the auditorium, where the special assembly was held.
Sadguru sants performed poojan and aarti to Gurudev Swamibapa. He was adorned in flower garments and a golden mugat. Sants and disciples delivered speeches in which they explained the significance of the Gurupurnima festival and the greatness of our beloved Guru, Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa. The divine blessings of Gurudev Swamibapa were also heard, before disciples took this opportunity to perform aartis and please the Lord through this form of devotion.
Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj is the current spiritual leader of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan. He is the heir to Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj, and sixth in the lineage of ascetic Acharyas, which descends directly from Lord Shree Swaminarayan.
