On Tuesday 28 March 2023, Acharya Swamiji Maharaj travelled to the village to perform the patotsav ceremony of Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa presiding in the Mandir.
Arnej is a village near Dholka, in the Ahmedabad district of Gujarat. Gurudev Jeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa established a Mandir in the village in 1964. In celebration of the temple’s golden jubilee, in 2013, Ved Ratna Acharya Swamishree Maharaj had a new temple building built in the village outskirts. Disciples of the village subsequently built their own houses in the plots surrounding the new temple.
On Tuesday 28 March 2023, Acharya Swamiji Maharaj travelled to the village to perform the patotsav ceremony of Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa presiding in the Mandir. Scripture recitals were also held on behalf of disciples of Arnej and the surrounding villages.
Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj is the current spiritual leader of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan. He is the heir to Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj, and sixth in the lineage of ascetic Acharyas, which descends directly from Lord Shree Swaminarayan.
