Viramgam is the largest city within the Ahmedabad District of Gujarat. It is approximately 65km away from Ahmedabad, and is situated on the intersection of routes heading towards Kutch and Saurashtra when travelling from Ahmedabad. This mainly industrial city is located approximately 65 km from Ahmedabad on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad-Gandhidham route. It is regarded as being a junction centre, because it is located at the intersection of four major railway lines, Ahmedabad-Viramgam; Viramgam-Surendranagar; Viramgam-Mehsana; and Viramgam-Dhrangadra-Samakhyali lines.

Whenever Gurudev Swamibapa travelled to or back from Kutch, He would always halt in Viramgam for a short while. He had a desire for a Mandir to be built in the city. Fulfilling Gurudev Swamibapa’s wishes, and accepting the prayers of the loving disciples of the city, Sanatan-dharma-sanrakshak Acharya Swamishree Maharaj had a grand Mandir constructed in an affluent region of the city called Sarvoday Society, and performed the opening during 2015. Eight years have passed since those joyous opening celebrations. To mark this occasion, Gnan Mahodadhi Acharya Swamiji Maharaj reached Viramgam during the evening of Saturday 4 February 2023, when He was ceremonially welcomed by disciples.

During the morning of Sunday 5 February 2023, Acharya Swamiji Maharaj performed the Patotsav ceremony of Lord Shree Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa and the Lord’s sacred lineage of spiritual heirs presiding in Viramgam Mandir. A lavish array of food in the form of a grand annakut was offered to the Lord and disciples were given the opportunity of performing aarti.
