During the evening of 31 January 2023, Acharya Swamiji reached the historical town of Vadnagar. This town is situated in the Mehsana district of Gujarat. Vadnagar was the former home of Sankhya Yogi Bashree Radhaba, and it was her wish that Acharya Swamiji Maharaj visits Vadnagar, and holds a grand festival there. Vadnagar is also the birthplace of Honourable Shri Narendra Modi, the current Prime Minister of India.
During His 3 day stay in Vadnagar, Acharya Swamiji Maharaj held a recital of the Vachanamrut Rahasyarth Pradeepika Tika, and Shree Abji Bapashree ni Vato. A concert of devotional songs was held by Swamibapa’s Sants, and a grand procession was held through the town.
Acharya Swamiji Maharaj and the large group of sants and disciples visited many of Vadnagar’s famous sites of historical interest, such as the Sharmistha Lake, Kirti Toran, and Tana Riri Garden.
Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj is the current spiritual leader of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan. He is the heir to Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj, and sixth in the lineage of ascetic Acharyas, which descends directly from Lord Shree Swaminarayan.
