Monday 21 February 2022 marked the thirteenth patotsav of the magnificent Mandir that stands at the entrance of Surat called Sarthana, which was opened by World Peace Ambassador Acharya Swamishree Maharaj in 2009.

Monday 21 February 2022 marked the thirteenth patotsav of the magnificent Mandir that stands at the entrance of Surat called Sarthana, which was opened by World Peace Ambassador Acharya Swamishree Maharaj in 2009.
Acharya Swamiji Maharaj travelled from Ahmedabad and reached Surat during the late afternoon of Friday 18 February. A large group of Sants had travelled from Vadodara and were already in Surat to welcome Acharya Swamiji Maharaj. As part of the Patotsav festivities, disciples held scripture recitals. On Sunday 20 February, Acharya Swamiji Maharaj visited the premises of the Disabled Welfare Trust of India, which was supported as part of this patotsav. That evening, a special program of devotional dance was also performed by the young disciples of Surat. A religious drama production called ‘Sarnamu Sacha Sukh nu’ (Address of true bliss) was also presented.
On the patotsav day, Acharya Swamiji Maharaj performed the anniversary rituals to Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa, and then a grand Annakut was offered. Disciples performed Aarti to please the Lord. During the assembly, Acharya Swamiji Maharaj presented awards of recognition to several disciples who had excelled in their various vocations.
Local dignitaries were also present to gain Acharya Swamiji Maharaj's blessings.
Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj is the current spiritual leader of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan. He is the heir to Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj, and sixth in the lineage of ascetic Acharyas, which descends directly from Lord Shree Swaminarayan.
