This public holiday in India is when the country marks and celebrates the date on which the Constitution of India came into effect on 26 January 1950, replacing the Government of India Act 1935 as the governing document of India and thus, turning the nation into a newly formed republic. During the morning of Wednesday 26 January 2022, Acharya Swamiji Maharaj presided over a grand celebration in the grounds of Maninagar Mandir. Acharya Swamiji Maharaj hoisted the Indian flag as the Rashtriya Geet was sung. There were also speeches from key speakers about the significance of this day, and the advances that the Nation has made during the past 73 years, since the constitution was made official.
