The first Ekadashi of the Bhadarva month is known as Parivartini and Jalzilni Ekadashi. Traditionally, the Lord is ritually bathed in a river or lake, and then taken on a boat ride. Disciples sing joyous religious songs as the Lord gives darshan from the boat. This day fell on Saturday 29 August 2020.
In Bhuj Mandir, the Sants and disciples created an indoor river. Lord Shree Swaminarayan, Shree Harikrishna Maharaj was seated on a small boat and gave darshan from that river.
In remembrance of World Peace Ambassador Acharya Swamishree Maharaj, a wonderful exhibition of artefacts used by Him whenever He visited Kutch had been arranged. Photographs and objects used during the magnificent festivals inspired by Acharya Swamishree Maharaj in the Kutch region brough back splendid divine memories to all the disciples who came for this unique darshan.
Furthermore, this day marked exactly 49 since Acharya Swamishree Maharaj’s spiritual successor, Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji was given initiation into the Sant fraternity by Gurudev Swamibapa (Samvat 2027, Bhadarva Sud 11, 01 Sep 1971).
