On 11 and 12 November 2010, a youth convention was held in Ambedham, Godhara (Kutch), which is just outside the coastal village of Mandvi.
On 11 and 12 November 2010, a youth convention was held in Ambedham, Godhara (Kutch), which is just outside the coastal village of Mandvi.
Organised by the sants and disciples of Shree Swaminarayan Mandir, Darbar Gadh Chowk, Bhuj, the two day convention included spiritual and devotional instruction to the participants, as well as games and competitions. Inspired by His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree, the aim of this convention was to promote unity, morality and cultural values within the disciples of Kutch.
The activities focussed on giving spiritual and cultural awareness, and providing learning about moral values to the participants, who aged between 4 and 80. Key personal skills such as building confidence, public speaking, team working and respecting others were also encouraged.
Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj is the current spiritual leader of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan. He is the heir to Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj, and sixth in the lineage of ascetic Acharyas, which descends directly from Lord Shree Swaminarayan.
