Acharya Swamishree Maharaj performs the 40th patotsav of Delhi Mandir and pays homage to the fallen heroes at India Gate
Acharya Swamishree Maharaj and Sants travelled from Ahmedabad to Delhi on Monday 15 October 2018. During his 3 day stay in the city, he visited the homes and offices of disciples living in India’s capital city.
On Tuesday 16 October, by the request of Dr Kirit Solanki, Member of Parliament for Ahmedabad West, Acharya Swamishree Maharaj and Sants visited Parliament House. Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band Maninagar too were present to perform in the inner chambers and grounds of Parliament House.
During the evening, Acharya Swamishree Maharaj and guests went to the India Gate, which is India’s eternal monument to honour the fallen heroes of the Country during the world wars. Acharya Swamishree Maharaj prayed to the merciful Lord to bestow eternal peace to the souls of these martyrs and laid a wreath at the Amar Jyot. In addition, Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band Maninagar performed patriotic melodies in the grounds of India Gate.
A concert of devotional songs was held during the evening of Wednesday 17 October.
Thursday 18 October 2018 marked the 40th year since Jeevanpran Swamibapa ceremonially installed the divine Murtis of Lord Swaminarayan - Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj, Jeevanpran Shree Abji Bapashree, and Himself, in the main sinhasan of the temple. Acharya Swamishree Maharaj performed the Patotsav ceremony of the Lord on this auspicious day, in the presence of Sants and disciples from all around India.
Immediately after the patotsav celebrations had concluded, Acharya Swamishree Maharaj returned to Ahmedabad.
