On Tuesday 23 April to Wednesday 24 April 2013, His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree Maharaj performed the Murti Pratishtha ceremony of a new temple in the village of Aral, in the Panchmahal region of Gujarat. Although the disciples of this region are extremely poor, their devotion and dedication to the Faith is unsurpassed.
Jeevanpran Swamibapa had visited the village on many occasions, and removed the people from the misery of blind faith and superstition. The poor villagers were given a new life due to the blessings bestowed by Gurudev Jeevanpran Swamibapa. The love they had for Swamibapa remains alive today, and with the inspiration of Acharya Swamishree Maharaj, they have built a new temple at the centre of Aral.
On Acharya Swamishree’s arrival, a grand procession was held through Aral. Having performed the ancient Vedic Murti Pratishtha ceremony, Acharya Swamishree installed the divine Murti of supreme Lord Shree Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa in the temple.
Thousands of disciples from all over the Panchmahal region gathered in Aral for the darshan of the Lord and to gain the divine blessings from Acharya Swamishree Maharaj.
Acharya Shree Jitendriyapriyadasji Swamiji Maharaj is the current spiritual leader of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan. He is the heir to Acharya Shree Purushottampriyadasji Swamishree Maharaj, and sixth in the lineage of ascetic Acharyas, which descends directly from Lord Shree Swaminarayan.
