Second Day of the Mahotsav
Tuesday 28 April 2009, Samvat 2065 Vaishak Sud 4
In the presence of several dignitaries of Kutch, Acharya Swamishree performed the opening of a new grand gate at the entrance to Madhapar at the start of day 2 of the festival. To show the importance of preserving the ecology of the region, Acharya Swamishree planted trees around the new gate.
To provide fresh drinking water for the village, a new water filtration plant was inaugurated by Acharya Swamishree. This plant has been donated by a disciple with the inspiration and blessings of Acharya Swamishree.
Acharya Swamishree also went to the village cattle shelter and donated fresh fodder for the village animals.
In the festival assembly marquee, Acharya Swamishree then blessed the congregation with His divine ashirwad.
- Jeevanpran Swamibapa had an extraordinary vision. In the early days of sound recording, when ‘music records’ were in existence, Jeevanpran Swamibapa had devotional songs recorded and made them available to everyone. By listening to such devotional music, a person can attain an extraordinary state of devotional and spiritual peace. That is why, through Swamibapa’s inspiration, we have created a vast library of devotional music CDs and organise concerts like the one that we held yesterday evening.
- Once a disciple has become engrossed with the enchantment and spiritual love of God, he becomes united with the Lord. No boundary then remains between the Lord and His loving child. That is the status that should be developed.
- Remaining faithful and obedient to the Lord yields unsurpassed rewards, both in this life and thereafter. The Lord says that He has manifested to free souls from the attributes of worldly Maya and enjoin them with the eternal peace and prosperity of the supreme Lord.
After the divine blessings, the scripture recitals of Bapashree ni Vato were performed. Disciples performed aarti and poojan to the divine scripture and Acharya Swamishree.
During the afternoon assembly, the sants continued the recital of Shree Rahasyarth Pradipika Tika Sah Vachanamrut.
An evening of communal devotional dance and music was held at the end of the second day of the festival. The music was performed under the direction of Bollywood’s music maestro, Shree Viju Shah, with the assistance of Shree Kirtibhai Varsani. The singers were Feroz Ladaka, Sanjay Omkar, Ashphak Khan, Ansun Trivedi and Sonik Suthar. The chorus comprised of young students of the Leva Patel Kumar Vidyalay. Thousands of people from the entire Kutch region attended and took part in this dance event, which had been held in the grounds of the Sarvodach Sports Centre in order to accommodate the large number of people attending.
Acharya Swamishree delighted both the singers and the dancers by joining in with the devotional dancing during the finale to the event.
