This Grand Ceremonial Poojan Ceremony was broadcast live over the internet. The live broadcast started at 6.45am IST (1.15am GMT).

History

Thursday 2nd of March 2006, Fagan Sud 3, marks the 62nd anniversary of when Jeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa installed the divine Murti of the Supreme Lord Swaminarayan, Shree Ghanshyam Mahraj at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Maninagar. This historical event took place in the year Samvat 2000 (Saturday 26th February 1944). At that time the Mandir was a bungalow-type building.

Eleven years later, Jeevanpran Swamibapa had a grand new Shikhar-bandh Temple built at the same location; and in the year Samvat 2011 (Friday 25th February 1955), Jeevanpran Swamibapa re-installed Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj in the new Temple, together with Shree Harikrishna Maharaj and Shree Sahajanand Swami Maharaj. Therefore, Sunday 13th March 2005 marks the 50th anniversary of the installation of Shree Harikrishna Maharaj and Shree Sahajanand Swami Maharaj, and the opening of the Shikhar-bandh Temple.

On Samvat 2036 Fagan Sud 3, (Monday 18th February 1980), Acharya Swamishree ceremonially installed the divine Murtis of Jeevanpran Shree Abji Bapashree and Jeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa in Shree Swaminarayan Temple Maninagar.
