His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree's 71st Birthday - 28th May 2013

In Bharasar, a small village in Gujarat, there lived a couple by the name Shamjibhai and Rambai. On the auspicious day of 28th May 1942, they were blessed with a son who they named Hirjibhai. As years passed by, Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa initiated (diksha) young Hirjibhai into the sant mandal and gave him the name Purushottam Priyadasji Swami who later became the Acharya of Shree Swaminarayan gadi.
On 28th May 2013, devotees gathered at Swamibapa Temple, Nairobi, to celebrate the 71st birthday of Acharya Swamishree. In the evening, Sandhya Aarti and daily niyams were performed after which the devotees watched the livebroadcast of the birthday celebration taking palce in India.
After that was the cake cutting ceremony as everyone wished Acharya Swamishree a very Happy birthday by singing the kirtan 'bar bar hum yeh chaiye'. There after mahaprasad was served in H.H Swamibapa hall.
