Acharya Swamishree Maharaj's Ashirwad - 15th Jan 2017

Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa’s only aim is to show the road towards achieving the Lord’s Murti. To accomplish this aim we have to divert our chitt against the darkness of the mind’s nature of ignorance, doubts and lethargy. Acharya Swamishree explained the nature of chitt saying that, the chitt of all humans has the nature of being like honey, or water that has been saturated with jaggery (gor), sugar candy or sugar. If a fly, ant, insect or anything else touches the honey, or the sugar candy water or syrup, it becomes stuck into it. Similarly, the nature of the chitt is such that it becomes stuck to whichever objects it recalls. The chitt becomes attached to absolutely useless and worthless things/objects, in which there is no kind of pleasure at all. It contemplates about whatever it recalls, regardless of whether it is good or bad. Such is its nature of attaching itself. The chitt has the quality of being extremely pure; whichever object it recalls, is visualized within it, regardless of whether it is good or bad. The objects that are recalled, even in the chitt of someone who possess asceticism are spontaneously visualized. Having, or lacking, asceticism has nothing to do with it. It is merely the nature of the chitt to behave in that manner. The object that it contemplates is then visualized, in the same manner that a reflection is seenin a mirror. One cannot stop infatuation as long as the chittis attracted towards the five vishayas. When one’s chittis pulled towards something they like/admire and when santsor mota purush prohibit him from doing so, the person gains bitterness towards them.

Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa says that the reason for arranging kathavartais for His disciples to attain ashtangyog. The Lord brings about reasons/causes for His disciples to effortlessly attain ashtangyog. He also says that we have to keep an uninterrupted inclination towards God. By performing duties with extreme true affection, his chitt gets affixed in the Lord’s Murti.
A person with worldly desires has all his Indriyas spread throughout on it. If the same indriyas are spread throughout towards God, then our chittin clines and gets affixed in the Murti of God. We have to affix our mind, chitt, intellect and ego on God’s Murti. This is known as Nirvikalp samadhi.

“May we always make you happy and may our chitt get affixed within the Lord’s Murti and unto Shree Swaminarayan Gadi and may you grant us divine strength, intellect, courage and positive perception”.
