Wednesday 10th August saw the spiritual wishes and desires of disciples of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan residing in the UK fulfilled as Acharya Swamishree Maharaj arrived in London. During His visit, He will be presiding over the annual Patotsav Ceremonies at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury and Bolton.

Having completed a three week Vicharan of North America taking in visits to Chicago, Ohio, Toronto, Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Acharya Swamishree Landed at London’s Heathrow Airport in the mid-Morning. On arriving at Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Kingsbury, Acharya Swamishree Maharaj’s chariot was escorted into the Complex by Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band. Despite it being a working day, hundreds of disciples had come for this first darshan of Acharya Swamishree Maharaj’s UK Vicharan.

In the evening, a special welcoming sabha was held in Purushottam Mahal. Acharya Swamishree Maharaj, looking resplendent in a brocaded green garland, entered the Sabha to the thunderous sounds of dhols and a jubilant audience eagerly awaiting His arrival. Once He had presided in the Sinhasan, senior representatives of the Mandir honoured Acharya Swamishree Maharaj and His mandal of twelve sants with flower garlands. Sant Shiromani Shree Prashantswaroopdasji Swami provided a synopsis of Acharya Swamishree Maharaj’s recent visit to the US and Canada – highlighting His amazing appetite to visit His disciples spread all over North America and the tireless efforts He goes to fulfil all of their spiritual desires.

The evening concluded with a medley dance from the youngest students of Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Academy of Performing Arts. Many of these youngsters will be unable to attend and perform at the upcoming Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Smruti Mandir Rajat Mahotsav in September due to it being in the school term, and so had an express wish to please Lord Shree Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa and Acharya Swamishree Maharaj through their devotional performance tonight.
