‘The minds of young children are like sheets of plain paper. Their teacher determines the kind of writing that is inscribed on their minds’ - Acharya Swamishree Maharaj

Swamibapa Gujarati School students performed a special Valentine's Day assembly to please Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa. Alongside learning their mother tongue, students are also taught the principles, morals and conduct of the Swaminarayan faith.

They began the assembly by greeting the congregation with Jay Shree Swaminarayan followed by a prayer, ‘Om Shree Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa Bhagavate Namahaa’.

In front of an audience of over 500 people, they explained in Gujarati the correct way to perform darshan and pooja to the Lord.

The students then performed the kirtan ‘Ame Shreejina Baarak’, translated as ‘We the Lord’s Children’ with full actions, detailing how to correctly carry out daily devotion.

A 7 year old student who participated commented, “It was really scary as it was in front of lots of people including our parents but now I feel happy, brave and glad that I did it to please Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa”.

The audience applauded with great pride of the future generation of the mandir.
