During His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree’s fifteen day tour of the UK, He welcomed several eminent guests whilst presiding at Shree Swaminarayan Temple London.
On Saturday 4th November 2006, Home Office Minister - Mr Tony McNulty, India’s economic Minister – Shree Jagadeesan, and the Regional Manager of Air India for UK and Ireland – K. D. Rao. The guests were lead in by Shree Muktajeevan Pipe Band, who then saluted the visitors.
Mr Jonathan Herbst, Chairman of Finchley and Golders Green Conservatives, came for Acharya Swamishree’s darshan on 12th November while Brent Conservative Councillor and deputy mayor of Brent, Harshadbhai B Patel, came on Tuesday 14th November. Cllr Patel, himself a Gujarati, was eager to visit the Temple, having seen the magnificent contribution Shree Muktajeevan Pipe Band made to Brent’s Diwali celebrations. He took the opportunity to commend Acharya Swamishree in His efforts to uphold and disseminate the values and culture of India throughout the world. Cllr Patel was particularly inspired by hearing that Acharya Swamishree has personally ensured the provision of Gujarati classes for all His disciples around the world, thus ensuring this facet of our culture is never eroded.
Acharya Swamishree blessed all the visiting guests and honoured them with scale replicas of Shree Muktajevan Swaminabapa Smruti Mandir.
