The fourth day of the Survarna Pratishtha Mahotsav was themed on universal peace. His Divine Holiness has pledged His commitment to world peace in these times of worldly unrest by holding many special events to raise awareness for this noble cause, including international assemblies and peace processions such the one to take place today.

Early this morning, His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree was led from the home of the family on whose behalf the main Vachanamrit Scripture recital of the Mahotsav was being held. A colorful and fantastic procession was held in which Sants and devotees drew Acharya Swamishree in a golden chariot through the streets of Kera and into the sabha mandap. The procession was laden with the color and sound of fireworks.

Divine Morning Ashirwad

  • It is because of our beloved Jeevanpran Swamibapa that the supreme Swaminarayan name is recited throughout the world today. Jeevanpran Swamibapa endured much suffering on behalf of the Karan Satsang, and it is the fruits of this undying endurance that we are able to enjoy freely today.

  • The religious drama production yesterday demonstrated the magnitude of the compassion that exists in Lord Swaminarayan and His muktas. The supreme Lord left His abode in Akshardham and came down to Earth purely for the salvation of the millions of wandering souls that reside on this Earth.

  • Many people did not understand the true glory of the Sants of Lord Swaminaryan and would hit them and tear off their clothing etc. The Sants tolerated all these malicious acts. They had accompanied the Lord from Akshardham and hence personified the Lord’s aim of spreading ultimate salvation, to show direction to all the lost souls.

  • The Sants in the drama yesterday experienced tremendous joy from playing with the Lord. We are all tremendously fortunate to have had the opportunity to play with the Lord. We must remember the Lord in work and play. Work carried out without reflecting on the Lord is fruitless.

  • Religious dramas such as the one performed by the sants and devotees last night are one of the many ways that Jeevanpran Swamibapa utilizes in order to spread the great spiritual tenets of Lord Swaminarayan.

  • Birth and death are not things that can be predicted, they are not determined by anyone other the supreme Lord. Many believe that certain times and dates are prosperous dates to be born on or to die on. Lord Swaminarayan has explained that since we have been born into this Karan Satsang, there is no need to concern ourselves with such auspicious and inauspicious dates. Every day is an auspicious date in our divine Karan Satsang.

Guests of the Day

Bikhabhai and Lathabhai Rabadi along with other representatives of the Rabadi (tribal) community from Megpur.

Just as our Gurudev Jeevanpran Swamibapa was the first spiritual leader to leave India to liberate souls in foreign lands, our beloved Acharya Swamishree was the first leader of the Swaminarayan Sampraday to arrive in Kutch to help the victims of the Earthquake disaster in 2001. As soon as He knew of the devastation caused by the disaster, Acharya Swamishree selflessly hurried to the area to personally help those in need. In His continuing efforts to rebuild the lives of those affected, Acharya Swamishree instigated the building of housing in the particularly heavily damaged village of Megpur. Officials from the village had come for the divine darshan of His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree and to give praise and thanks for His unparalleled efforts.

Mandvi Ship Building Association Representative

“Since Acharya Swamishree visited Mandvi’s coastal industries last year on the 20th May, the town has flourished. The shipyards that were building approximately 15 ships a year, are now building 30. Each ship that is built provides income to over 500 hundred families. With the forthcoming channelling of the River Narmada to Mandvi by the end of June, the town will experience further prosperity. I firmly believe that all this prosperity is as a direct result of the blessings that Acharya Swamishree has bestowed upon the town.”

Cow Fodder Donation

Acharya Swamishree demonstrated His undying love and compassion for all living things by instigation the donation of grass to the needy cows and other animals residing on the outskirts of Kera. Acharya Swamishree personally attended to the needs of these animals and several tons of fodder was donated by His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree on behalf of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan.

Nagaryatra

A magnificent Shanti Yatra (peace procession) was held through the village of Kera. The primary purpose of the procession was to propagate further, Acharya Swamishree's message for universal peace.

Devotees from India, Africa, UAE, Australia, USA, and the UK all took part in the magnificent procession which began on the edge of the village and culminated at Kera Mandir. Ladies from a local Rabari (tribal) community also participated in the festivities. All were dressed in traditional costume and danced throughout the route. Bands from Naranpur, Mumbai, Bharasar and Madhapur all took part in the festivities.

As the procession progressed through the village, people from many communities gathered at prominent positions to give their support to Acharya Swamishree and give Him their oath to maintain peace and unity. Lord Swaminarayan’s universal appeal and disregard for caste and creed, were personified by the diverse range of people that had turned out for Acharya Swamishree’s darshan.

It is stated in the Vachanamrit that any soul who recalls the divine leela (activities) will surely attain absolute salvation. This procession will surely remain in the memories of all those who were privileged enough to have its divine darshan.

A fantastic fireworks display lit up the early evening sky as the glorious procession culminated back at the Temple just before sunset.
