On 8th of November 2009, Shree Muktajeevan Pipe honoured all war veterans in the remembrance march in Edgware. The parade is an annual event organised by the Royal British Legion where Shree Muktajeevan Pipe Band joined members of the public, the Borehamwood Brass Band and army cadets to offer a fitting commemoration to those who have died in previous wars and to pay thanks to those members of the Armed Forces who are involved in current conflicts around the world.
The parade set off from the Edgware Royal British Legion centre in Parnell Close, at about 10.20am and made its way towards the Edgware war memorial for a service of remembrance.
Andrew Dismore, Labour Member of Parliment, had this to say,
“I am writing as president of the new Edgware branch of the Royal British Legion, to thank your pipers and drummers for coming to the Remembrance Day parade on 8th November. This was a very welcome addition to the parade, and was extremely well appreciated by all in attendance.”
