Today was the third day of the Shashtipurti Mahotsav, celebrating 60 years since Gurudev Jeevanpran Swamibapa established the Mandir in Naranpur. After performing the mangla aarti of supreme Lord Shree Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa in the Mandir, a short procession was held from the Mandir to the assembly marque, when Acharya Swamishree Maharaj presided on a chariot and was led by Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band Maninagar.

The assembly commenced with the divine blessings of Acharya Swamishree Maharaj during which He explained the significance of Lord Shree Swaminarayan and His sacred lineage of spiritual successors, and the merciful blessings that they have given, which have enabled each of their disciples to truly progress in life, and thereafter. He said, “They have appeared upon this Earth to bestow their mercy, but it is for us to realise their glory and abide by their commands unconditionally and with commitment. They have given us more than we deserve, and continue to provide all that we need.

“In the Shikshapatri scripture, Lord Shree Swaminarayan commands that we must look after our parents, Guru and ill people for the duration of our life. Such selfless service is fundamental. He explained what much hardship is faced if vices are allowed to enter one’s conducts, such as adultery, pornography, lust, greediness, thieving, inappropriate and illicit associations with others, violation of the restrictions and respects for one another that have been prescribed, not having respect for elders and leaders, etc.

“Gurudev Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa has blessed us all – ‘he who becomes a disciple of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi, has firm commitment and understanding about the supremacy of Lord Shree Swaminarayan and Bapashree, has firm upasana about Lord Shree Swaminarayan, and lives a principled life according to the commandments stated by the Lord and performs devotion unto Him; such a blessed disciple will attain eternal salvation and enjoy the divine bliss of the supreme Lord’s Murti.”

After the divine blessings, Acharya Swamishree Maharaj performed the conclusion of the Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Granth scripture recitals. The benefactors of the recitals performed adoration to the scripture, Acharya Swamishree Maharaj and the narrators.

During the evening, all the Sants and disciples gathered again in the assembly marque. A concert of devotional singing was held during which Swamibapa’s highly talented Sants, as well as some of Kutch’s renowned singers, sang religious songs to please Lord Shree Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa and Acharya Swamishree Maharaj.
