Diwali and Hindu New Year Celebrations
In London, devotees, both young and old, had been preparing for the festival days in advance and had lovingly prepared a feast of food dishes for the Annkut and decorated the Temple in bright coloured materials and decorative candles and lights to welcome in the Hindu New Year. Early on the morning of New Year's day, the thars were carefully arranged before Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa for all to receive annkut darshan. A special Diwali assembly was held, and the devotees diligently listened to Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa's and Acharya Swamishree's ashirwards.

Labh Pancham

Chief Minister of Gujarat meets Acharya Swamishree
Diwali is an auspicious and joyous time of year, when people go to meet those that are most dear to themselves. Early on the morning of 22nd October 2006, the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shree Narendrabhai Modi, made a call to Maninagar mandir requesting an audience with His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree, so that he could fulfill his desire to receive the darshan of Acharya Swamishree at this special time of year. Acharya Swamishree answered his prayers and at dusk warmly welcomed Shree Narendrabhai Modi to Maninagar mandir and took him for the darhsan of Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa.
