Day 4 - Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj Shashtipurti Mahotsav
The fourth day of the Shree Ghanshyam Maharaj Shashtipurti Mahotsav commenced with Acharya Swamishree performing Mangla Aarti at 6.00am. Following this, at approximately 9.00am, all the disciples had gathered outside Swamibapa Hall eagerly waiting for Acharya Swamishree’s divine darshan.
When Acharya Swamishree arrived outside Swamibapa Hall, HH Swamibapa Pipe Band saluted Acharya Swamishree and led the swagat procession to the sabha mandap in the main temple hall.
As it was the conclusion of the scripture recitals today, disciples on whose behalf scripture recitals were held for the past four days, were given an opportunity to carry chaabs to offer gifts to the Lord and perform poojan and arti to Acharya Swamishree.
Acharya Swamishree then inaugurated a new CD produced especially for the Shashtipurti Mahotsav called ‘Chitade Choti Murti Bapani’. Copies of this CD were given to all present in the sabha mandap complimentary of the sponsors of the mahotsav.
Acharya Swamishree then blessed the congregation with his divine Ashirwad and said:
Muktajeevan Swamibapa has sawn the seeds of devotion in every soul; today the fragrance from the ‘flowers’ of the ‘garden of Karan Satsang’ has disseminated in all directions. Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa is truly pleased to see the true devotion.
The Lord is pleased to see the true devotion of the devotees staying abroad (outside India). One can attain material wealth from many sources, but good etiquette and compassionate behaviour is only attained by those who seek the shelter of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi.
Each one’s aim should be to stay in close proximity of The Lord; this can only be achieved by following the commandments of The Lord as directed in The Shikshapatri.
When one has control over the five basic senses and engage each of the senses to please The Lord, then his soul is enlighten, but if the same senses are utilised for material pleasure, then he keeps wandering in darkness.
After many months’ of hard work and hours of practises, sants and disciples had an opportunity tonight to perform dances to please Swaminarayan Bapa Swamibapa and Acharya Swamishree. The evening commenced with a prarthna dance ‘Preme Naman Chhe’ performed by the talented sants of Swamibapa. Some of the other performances by various age groups included; medley dance by young kids, a special light dance, a classical dance and a performance by HH Swamibapa Pipe Band. There was also a short comedy drama to keep everyone entertained.
The evening concluded with a finale of all the dance groups dancing in joy with Acharya Swamishree on the stage.
