This day marked the 25th anniversary of when the supreme Lord presided in the ladies temple in Joshipura. In celebration of this day, the glorious festival had been held.

Acharya Swamishree performed the patotsav ceremony to the Lord. An array of sweets was presented to the Lord in the form of an annkut. Acharya Swamishree and the sants then performed aarti to the Lord. Devoted villagers then also took the opportunity of performing aarti and pleasing the Lord.

Acharya Swamishree then went to the assembly complex where the devotees were waiting with a carriage for Swamishree to preside on. The devotees lovingly pulled Acharya Swamishree to the front of the stage.

Poojan was performed in conclusion to the scripture recitals, after which Acharya Swamishree blessed the audience with His divine ashirwad. Acharya Swamishree said;

  • Mahotsav’s such as these help to liberate us from worldly attachment.

  • Those whose lives follow the commands of the Lord and who remain attached to the Lord lead a safe life, which is free from the dangers of worldly desires.

  • In the 32nd Vachanamrut of the Gadhada First Section, Lord Swaminarayan explains that one must remain attach to the Lord and become passionate about devotion towards Him. By doing so it is possible to exonerate any vices one may have.

  • Let us pray to the Supreme Lord Swaminarayanbapa Swamibapa to have mercy and remove the vices such as lust, anger, jealousy, envy and pride from within. Learn to forgive and forget, and instead, fill one’s life with love and harmony towards each other and live life with sincere dedication and faithful devotion to the Lord.

In conclusion to the festival, the devotees of Joshipura humbly thanked Acharya Swamishree for making these three days, an occasion that they will remember for the rest of their life.
