The second day of the Rajat Pratishtha Mahotsav was the auspicious day of Vasant Panchmi, the day that the almighty Lord mercifully gave us all the holy scripture of His commandments, the Shikshapatri. After the mangla aarti, Acharya Swamishree and the sants ceremonially recited the Shikshapatri and performed poojan to the divine scripture.

A magnificent procession was then held from the outskirts of the village to the Temple. The procession was led through the entire village. This was the first time ever in the history of Joshipura that such a procession had been held there. At the end of the procession, Acharya Swamishree was led onto the stage by the loving devotees of Joshipura.

During the morning assembly, the chief guest was the Rajasthan and Gujarat Border Security Force Officer, Shree M Batham. On this occasion, Shree Batham proudly presented Acharya Swamishree with a book that he has written, called Aantakvaad – Terrorism. He also presented Acharya Swamishree with a memento of the Border Security Force. In his speech, he expressed his fortune for being able to be present at this festival and be granted the darshan of Acharya Swmaishree. He also thanked Acharya Swamishree for raising the morale of all the security officers when He visited the military camps at the Vagha Border and the Kutch Border, and provided them with the amenities that they lacked.

In His divine blessings, Acharya Swamishree said;

  • Today is Vasant Panchmi. This is the day that the divine scripture of holy commandments, the Shikshapatri, was given to us by the merciful Lord Swaminarayan Himself.

  • Adhering to the commandments that are clearly narrated in the Shikshapatri, is the key to attaining ultimate salvation, i.e. attaining the divine abode of Lord Swaminarayan, Akshardham.

  • In the 35th Vachanamrut of the Gadhada Last Section, Lord Swaminarayan explains that the Lord resides in the hearts of those who are humble and kind hearted. To serve someone of this nature is like serving the Lord Himself.

  • Let us pray to the supreme Lord Swaminarayan, that our devotion towards Him remains untainted. Furthermore, let us continue to lead our lives serving the Lord humbly, so that He continues to reside within our hearts.

During the evening assembly of this second day of the festival, a video of the Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Rajat Festival was shown.
