On the very auspicious day of Chaitrasud 9, samvat 1837, the supreme Lord Swaminarayan manifested on this earth in human form as the second son of Dharmadev and Bhaktimata, and was named 'Ghanshyam'. In Akshardham, no one was blessed with the Lords darshan except His 'Muktas', but at the time of his birth in Chhapaiya at 10.00pm.

LED Lighting showing the Chicago Temple Structures
By the Lord Swaminarayan Divine grace and mercy the temple construction has been completed both interior and exterior. The exterior of the temple has been equipped with the state of the art LED lighting which gives the temple a glow at night, giving it radiance.
