Shree Swaminarayan Temple Chicago is a center for the practice of spiritual, cultural, and social welfare as well as a charming place of worship for the disciples of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan.

Located just minutes away from the beautiful city of Chicago, the temple is the primary temple in the Midwest region of the United Sates of Maninagar Shree Swaminarayan Gadi Sansthan, the worldwide center for spiritual, cultural, and social welfare. The organization was established by Gurudev Jeevanpran Shree Muktajeevan Swamibapa and is the organization humbly devoted to the service of humanity.

The temple is run under a non-profit organization – Shree Swaminarayan Sidhant Sajivan Mandal, Midwest – under the guidance of His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree, the sovereign of Shree Swaminarayan Gadi, the divine, eternal throne of Lord Shree Swaminarayan. Acharya Swamishree established the Hari Mandir in 2001, and with His divine blessings, it has blossomed ever since.

His Divine Holiness Acharya Swamishree inspires all of the activities at the temple. He is the reverential spiritual leader of many thousands of people around the world and has been acclaimed as being the “Ultimate Humanitarian” due to the numerous charitable projects that he has initiated. He is constantly instigating charitable campaigns to provide medical assistance, to distribute necessities (clothing, food, medicine, etc.), and to educate the poor and disadvantaged.
