Holy Shravan month starts today. If anyone is incapable of observing extra niyams for the duration of the chaaturmaas, months, they are permitted to reduce the niyams to last for the duration of this Shravan month.

In the Shikshapatri, Slok 76, Lord Shree Swaminarayan says that those who are unable to observe the vows for the entire 4 month period are permitted only to observe these vows during the month of Shravan.
